Baby Cafe
Baby Cafés are informal breastfeeding support groups that provide professional care and intervention to reduce health disparities and help mothers achieve breastfeeding goals. These groups are specifically targeted at under-served areas with low breastfeeding rates and are funded by various community, private, and national funds. They are in public spaces such as libraries, WIC offices, churches, and YMCAs. These free programs aim to improve community health and reduce disparities. To address racial and ethnic health disparities, BCUSA designed the Baby Café Breastfeeding Counselor (BCBC) curriculum in 2016, offering training to interested attendees interested in breastfeeding counseling careers.
