Daniel Fort, MPH, PhD

Daniel Fort, PhD, MPH, operates as the Manager for Biomedical Research Informatics for the Ochsner Health System. His PhD is in Biomedical Informatics, specializing in clinical research informatics, particularly data modeling, clinical phenotying algorithms, and biases within electronic clinical data. He also has degrees in Health Systems Management and Biochemistry. Dan joined Ochsner Health after three years at Northwestern University working within their clinical and translational science unit and sits on the steering committee and Biomedical Informatics Core for LaCATS, Louisiana’s regional research collaborative, and is the site PI for Ochsner’s PCORNet data node, RECOVER, N3C, and CDC COVID Surveillance projects. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, he has assumed the role of epidemic and capacity modeling.
