Eboni Price-Haywood, MD, MPH, FACP

Eboni Price-Haywood, MD, MPH, FACP, practices internal medicine at Ochsner Health in New Orleans. She received her doctor of medicine degree and masters in public health from John Hopkins University School of Medicine and School of Public Health in Baltimore. She obtained her masters in medical management from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She completed an internal medicine internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She has maintained board certification in Internal Medicine since 2002. She is the System Medical Director for Ochsners Healthy State initiative and the Ochsner Xavier Institute for Health Equity and Research (OXIHER). Dr. Price-Haywood is leading efforts to better understand and address health inequity in Louisiana. In partnership with Xavier University of Louisiana, the OXIHER uses outcomes research, population health, workforce development and health equity education initiatives, community engagement and health advocacy to investigate and create solutions for the challenges we face today. Dr. Price-Haywood has spent her career as a primary care physician, focusing on disease prevention, health promotion and care delivery improvements, with a particular focus on addressing health disparities and advancing health equity. She most recently served as Director of the Center for Outcomes and Health Service Research here at Ochsner and was fundamental in COVID-19 research and studies which enabled the research team to shine a light on health disparities in our communities. Dr. Price Haywood is a member of the following professional organizations: American College of Physicians and Society of General Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institutes Board of Governors.
