Frankie Robertson, MPH

Frankie Robertson, a public administration professional with over two decades of experience, has been dedicated to maternal and child health issues. She began her career as the state director of the Louisiana Chapter of March of Dimes, where she partnered with key stakeholders on initiatives such as the 39 Weeks Initiative, Group Prenatal Care, Baby and Me Tobacco Free, and Go the Full 40. She later served as the Regional Director of Advocacy and Government Affairs at March of Dimes, supporting a team, contract lobbyists, and volunteers in various states.
Frankie’s advocacy initiatives include maternal mortality, health equity, workplace protections, paid leave, maternal mental health, and protecting immunization laws. She has also served on the boards of Dialogue on Race Louisiana, Louisiana Budget Project, Saul’s Light Foundation, and the Woman’s Hospital NICU Parents Advisory Committee. She is also a member of Moms of Black Boys United for Social Change, the Baton Rouge Chapter of Moms of Black Boys United, the Junior League of Baton Rouge, and the Children’s Cabinet Advisory Board.
Frankie has been recognized as a Young Leader of the Future by Ebony Magazine, a 40 under 40 honoree of the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, and Girls and Guys Rock Louisiana. She is passionate about social justice and equity, particularly in maternal mental health and addressing toxic stress. Her experiences, combined with training as a birth doula and education in structural racism, have led her to advance policies to address health inequities for Black birthing people.
