Niketa Pechan is a highly experienced licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), postpartum doula, and mother of two, dedicated to helping mothers navigate the often challenging journey of postpartum healing. With roots in both her Jamaican heritage and American upbringing, Niketa brings a rich cultural perspective to her work, deeply understanding the importance of community, tradition, and holistic care in the healing process.
Niketa earned her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW) from Florida International University, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical practice. Over the years, she has cultivated extensive expertise in trauma and anxiety treatment, specializing in perinatal mental health. Her passion lies in supporting mothers during one of the most transformative periods of their lives, providing them with the tools and support needed to heal, grow, and thrive.
As a postpartum doula, Niketa offers compassionate and culturally sensitive care, drawing on her deep knowledge of holistic practices and traditional postpartum care methods. She believes in the power of community healing and is committed to creating safe, nurturing spaces where mothers can connect, share their experiences, and find the strength they need to overcome challenges.
In addition to her clinical work, Niketa is a strong advocate for maternal mental health and is actively involved in efforts to raise awareness about the unique needs of postpartum women, particularly in communities of color. Her work is driven by a deep belief in the resilience of mothers and the transformative potential of holistic, community-based care.
Whether through one-on-one support, group workshops, or community initiatives, Niketa is dedicated to empowering mothers to embrace their postpartum journeys with confidence, peace, and a sense of connection to their cultural heritage. Her work is a testament to her commitment to healing, both on an individual and community level, and her vision of a world where every mother has the support she needs to flourish.
